Is Gousto’s Packaging Recyclable?
Gousto’s cardboard comes from sustainable sources and can be easily recycled. The same is true of the recipe cards, which are also printed by the world’s first printer to go beyond carbon neutral.
The Icepacks can be reused, but if opened and drained will not be universally recyclable. The same is true of the plastic used on the wool insulation liners; the wool itself is compostable and biodegradable. Pots and tins should be recyclable in most parts of the UK. Check the website of your local council to find out what can be recycled in your area.
It is also worth noting that Gousto have pledged to reduce the plastic used in their boxes by 50% by the end of 2019.
