A relatively new entrant to the market, Feast Box was born out of a love of authentic, flavourful food. It is the sister company of Red Rickshaw, the largest online Asian supermarket in the UK, but dishes on the menu come from every corner of the globe.
What is Feast Box?
Far too often in life, cooking at home becomes a chore. Work and family commitments get in the way, and we end up making the same types of meals, week after week, with little to no diversity. This is a reality that Feast Box founder, Jyoti Patel, experienced herself after becoming a mother, and it is exactly the type of culinary tedium that this recipe box service is designed to challenge.
Feast Box take the effort out of culinary experimentation by putting in the hours to source rare ingredients and exciting recipes from around the world. All the dishes come with easy to follow, step-by-step instructions, and can be prepared in your own kitchen with everyday pans and utensils.
So, whether you’re an experienced chef or a complete novice, you’ll still be able to cook delicious meals with Feast Box, no matter how unfamiliar you may be with the ingredients.
How Does Feast Box Work?
To get started with Feast Box, just head to the website and start your journey by selecting your preferred meals from the choice of 16 that are available each week.
Customers can choose a maximum of four meals, to serve two or four people, and can also select ‘add-ons’, such as drinks and sides, which are paired with the individual meal choices.
Once you’ve chosen your dishes, you’ll be asked for your delivery details and email/password to setup your online account. This will allow you to change your meal preferences for future orders, in addition to pausing or cancelling the service if you so wish. After this, you’ll be asked to pay via the secure online gateway and will receive your first delivery on a date of your choosing.
All the pre-measured ingredients you need for your meals – including spices – will be delivered in a box to your door, alongside the recipe cards. The weekly menu is changed every Sunday, at which point you’ll be able to log in and choose the meals for your next delivery.
Feast Box Meal Plans
Unlike other recipe box providers, Feast Box does not have different types of boxes available. There isn’t, for example, a ‘veggie’ or ‘vegan’ box you can select.
You just select the meals you want in your box (minimum two, maximum four), whether you’re cooking for two or four people and any desired add-ons.
If you are in fact vegetarian or vegan then you can just select the options that are suitable for you.

How Much Does Feast Box Cost?
The costs of meals vary, depending on the ingredients used. A typical weekly range is between £5 – £10 per portion. Expect to pay more for things like seafood and less for veg-heavy, vegan meals.
Prices scale evenly, so if you’re cooking for four people, you will pay four times the per portion price listed. Unlike other services, there is no per portion discount offered on larger orders.
Delivery is free on all orders.
